Our
family home is situated in Canvey Island, Essex, where the family
has been based since 1978.
The
house was designed by Rama & Rajesh, before submission to a
Draughtsman for structural plans to be created. Constrcution was
completed in 1992. Rama was the project manager for the construction.
With
the family diaspora and Ramakant's impending retirement, it became
apparent that we would need a family base in Orissa. During a visit
to Orissa in 2003, Rama appointed a local architect to construct
a house echoing the design motifs of the Canvey Island house.
In
February 2006 Rama returned from a visit to the property when these
pictures were taken. Most of the interior work of the house has
also been completed.
